About Me

My name is Brent, and I am Résumé Pundit. 

I'm a Senior Recruiter with 8+ years of staffing experience in both agency recruitment and corporate talent acquisition. I've rewritten 1000+ résumés over my career and I focus on helping job seekers understand the nuances of the hiring process so they can increase their chances of being selected to interview. I've learned that it all starts with a good résumé. I'm an expert in writing and formatting résumés so that you can make a better first impression and increase your chances of standing out and being selected from crowds of hundreds or even thousands of other candidates. I also have extensive experience with LinkedIn Optimization, Interview Preparation, and Job Search Strategy. 

I started my career in the restaurant industry, bussing tables and working as a food expediter. Eventually, I eventually became a cook, then a waiter, a bartender, and eventually worked my way into management. After about a decade in the industry, I decided to make a career change and wound up in the staffing industry where I am today.

Over the past 8 years, I've helped job seekers find roles in healthcare, technology, finance, food production, civil engineering, government, agriculture, transportation, and several other industries. The job seekers I've helped have ranged from people seeking entry-level roles to C-level executive positions, and everything in between. This experience has taught me that no matter what stage of your career you're at, one of the most important tools for a successful job search is having a good résumé. 

I live in Indianapolis with my wife, Kana, my two cats, Lieutenant Dan & Bubba, and my two dogs, Forrest & Jenny. I enjoy a variety of hobbies including hiking, camping, canoeing, riflery, drums, video games, puzzles, board games, and DIY projects around the house.
